Privacy policy

HotCarShows is a calendar of car shows, car meets and cruise-ins. You can browse the whole site without an account, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact form.

Information you give us. If you use the “Have a question?” form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, so that we can read it and reply.

Technical information. Like any website, the servers that host HotCarShows automatically record standard request details, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

Browsing shows, searching for a city or using the date filters does not ask for or store any personal information.

• We don't sell or rent your personal information.
• We don't run advertising, ad-tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this site.
• We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't process payments on this site.

Some parts of the site are provided by other services, which handle data under their own privacy policies:

• Show listings come from event data partners. Show posters and photos are served from HotCarShows' own domain.
• Maps. Show pages embed Google Maps to show the venue. Google may set cookies and collect usage data when the map loads.
• Tickets and organisers. “Get tickets” and organiser links take you to the seller's or organiser's own website. Anything you enter there, including payment details, is handled by them, not by HotCarShows.

HotCarShows doesn't set advertising or tracking cookies. The site may save your light or dark display preference in your browser's local storage so it stays the same between visits; this never leaves your device. Embedded third-party content, such as Google Maps, may set its own cookies as described above.

You can clear local storage and block cookies at any time in your browser settings. The site still works without them.

• To reply to messages sent through the contact form, including requests to list or correct a show.
• To operate, secure and fix problems with the site.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to deal with your request, and server logs only as long as needed for operation and security, after which they are deleted.

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the UK and EU, or the CCPA in California), you may have further rights, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data-protection authority.

HotCarShows is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
