Hello FSCC Folks Our July First Saturday Cars & Coffee (FSCC) gathering will be on Saturday, July 5 at our regular location, the Blue Grass Stockyards Regional Marketplace located at 4561 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. We will meet at the regular time of 9-11am. As usual, thanks to our sponsors there will be no fee for attending our family friendly event. Our sponsors will be providing the first 50 cups of coffee and donuts free at our gathering room inside the Marketplace. Also, remember out of respect for our sponsors and the other attendees, we do not need speed shots or donuts on the asphalt. The event is hosted by Cadre Prime LLC. Note that this is a rain or sunshine event. Finally at our June 7 gathering, Mother Nature gave FSCC a break on the weather. Despite wet roads and some areas of flooding we had decent weather at the ‘Yards with 80 cars attending the event. We were pleased to have five of our attendees win free pizzas from our newest sponsor Pie Five Pizza. Thanks to Pie Five for sponsoring and thanks for the pizzas! Also, I would like to thank several of our FSCC members for judging at the Kentucky State Police Car Show on May 31. Fourteen of the total 17 judges were provided through FSCC. They had their work cut out for them with 270 cars there to judge! It was a great show. We hope to assist again next year. Well, we are in the start of lots of car events. July will be especially big for Keeneland Concours events: 1) This Friday, June 27 is this year’s Maserati Mingle at the Summit at Fritz Farm. This popular family event is free to the public and is a great opportunity to view over 60 beautiful vehicles while also enjoying the surrounding restaurants and shops. Displays this year include Aston Martin, Audi, Corvette, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lotus, McLaren, Porsche, Rolls Royce, very diverse groupings of Sports Cars and nostalgic Classics. This promotional event for the 2025 Keeneland Concours is sponsored by Maserati of Cincinnati with all donations going to the Kentucky Children’s Hospital. More information at: https://keenelandconcours.com/events/maserati-mingle/ 2) On Sunday, July 13 will be the first Carreras for Kids event. This event is hosted by Town Branch Distilling Company and the Porsche Club Bluegrass Region (BGS). This is an open event for all clubs. The BGS will be having a drive culminating at 2:00pm at the distillery located at 401 Cross Street, Lexington, KY 40508. They will display their rides at the distillery from 2:30 – 5:00pm. All clubs are welcome to join BGS at the site. There will be food trucks and Keeneland Concours commemorative bottles of bourbon will be available for sale that day. If members of any car club wish to join in the event contact Tom Caywood at [email protected] by July 7 to ensure sufficient space is set aside. 3) On Friday, July 18 for the Keeneland Concours Hangar Bash. This year’s will be held from 6:30 – 10:00pm at the R.J. Corman Hanger #2 in Nicholasville. Tickets for this event will be $125.00 per person. Come and see vintage aircraft and exotic automobiles. This year’s theme is 007 Bond and the Aston Martin DB5.
